Apply Watermark is designed to process selected media on your device. This policy distinguishes local editing activity from the ordinary network requests required to deliver the website. By using the site, you acknowledge the practices described below.
1. How the private watermark tool handles media
The core editor uses capabilities already available in your browser. This section explains what happens from file selection through download and where the responsibility for keeping copies remains with you.
1.1 Selecting media
When you choose an image, video, or logo, the browser receives access to that local file for the current page session. The application creates a temporary browser representation for preview and processing. Selecting a file does not place it in an Apply Watermark account, server folder, or online media library.
1.2 Creating the preview
The browser decodes the source and displays it in the workspace so position, size, color, opacity, rotation, and tiling can be reviewed. Text and logo changes are drawn locally. The private watermark tool does not need to transmit the source media to an external editing service for this preview.
1.3 Rendering the result
When you export, browser graphics and media features combine the source with the visible watermark. Images may be encoded as JPG, PNG, or WebP. Video is decoded, drawn, and encoded frame by frame before the tracks are packaged as MP4. Large images and long videos can use significant device memory and processing power.
1.4 Downloading a copy
A processed image or video downloads directly, while several images can be collected into a ZIP created in the browser. You decide where the download is stored. Apply Watermark does not provide a cloud history, so verify every desired result is safely saved before refreshing or closing the page.
1.5 Ending the session
Temporary browser object URLs are removed when files leave the workspace or the page closes. The current editing state is not recoverable through an Apply Watermark login because no account project exists. Device or browser behavior may retain ordinary download history according to settings you control.
2. Information involved when the page loads
Media processing is local, but visiting a website still creates standard network requests. The distinction is important: website delivery information is not the same as a media file opened inside the editor.
2.1 Hosting requests
Loading Apply Watermark sends standard technical details such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and time of request to the hosting provider, Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process limited logs for delivery, security, reliability, diagnostics, and abuse prevention according to its role and applicable policies.
2.2 Browser local storage
The editor can use local storage to remember ordinary watermark and export settings on your device. It does not use that storage for selected images, videos, or logos. You can clear site data through browser controls, although doing so may reset preferences that made repeat visits faster.
2.3 Accounts and profiles
The current service has no user account system. It does not ask for a profile, password, subscription, or media library before the editor works. Email addresses are received only when a person chooses to contact one of the published support or privacy inboxes through their own email service.
2.4 Remotion licensing telemetry
Video export uses Remotion’s browser renderer. Remotion states that each browser render sends one licensing telemetry event containing limited technical information such as IP address, website domain, production or development context, and whether rendering succeeded or failed. The event does not contain the selected video, rendered frames, watermark text, logo, or other media content.
2.5 External links
A link to another website is governed by that destination’s own privacy terms and technical practices. Opening it leaves the Apply Watermark page context. The editor does not send selected media to a third-party processing service as part of its normal text, logo, batch, or export workflow.
3. What you can do before editing
A private browser workflow reduces unnecessary transfer, but you still control the device, browser, source folder, downloaded copies, and information included in visible watermark text.
3.1 Use a trusted device
Use the private watermark tool on a trusted device. Avoid editing sensitive media on a public computer unless you understand its storage, browser profile, downloads folder, and monitoring. Lock your device, keep the browser current, and use security practices appropriate for the files involved.
3.2 Review visible text
A watermark may contain a name, website, social handle, location, email address, or other personal information. Only add details you intend viewers to see after the output is published or forwarded. The mark becomes part of the exported media and can travel with the file.
3.3 Store outputs deliberately
Choose a clear destination for downloaded files and ZIP archives. Separate them from originals, inspect the result, and delete unwanted copies through your device controls. Email, cloud drives, social platforms, and marketplaces apply their own practices once you intentionally upload a finished image or video.
3.4 Ask a specific question
Email [email protected] when this page does not resolve a concern. Describe the feature and information involved, but do not attach confidential media merely to ask about policy. A non-sensitive example or written scenario is usually enough to begin the conversation.
4. Additional information
4.1 Does private mean there are no network requests?
No. The website must be delivered over the internet, so normal requests reach its hosting provider. Remotion also sends limited licensing telemetry when its browser renderer is used. Private refers to the editor keeping selected images, videos, logos, and rendered frames in the browser instead of sending those files to an application upload API.
4.2 Are my selected files stored in local storage?
No. The private watermark tool may remember ordinary preferences locally, but selected images, videos, and logos are not stored there. The temporary editing workspace ends when files are removed or the tab closes.
4.3 What changes when advertising appears?
Any advertising or measurement technology must be evaluated before launch. If it uses cookies or information requiring notice or consent, the privacy policy and relevant controls will be updated before those services are enabled.
